Five years ago, I gave one in-person conference talk to an audience of 200.
Immediately after, a few executives reached out for consulting help, which gave me the confidence to quit my day job and go travel the world.
Three years after, a woman who attended my talk reached out, looking for a CMO for her startup. She said, 'I've never seen anyone who gets marketing like you.'
And five years after my talk, an attendee found me on Linkedin and said he'd made a living helping entrepreneurs market their products. He teaches everything he learned from my talk and it's helping people launch products that are changing the world.
All this, from one 60 minute session in one room.
It's a great reminder to continue to find those areas where one concentrated effort can make a much larger impact, and to pour myself into those opportunities.
