Sometimes I question all of this.

I was going to put in an offer on a different house last year.

Doesn't look like Austin, does it? It's an 18 acre property on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. The ocean on one side, a lush pine forest on the other, towering mountains nearby. The nearest real city hours away.

I contacted the realtor, but he'd already accepted an offer.

I feel in my soul that I'm supposed to be here in Austin right now, but I also feel that once I've accomplished my goal here, I must return to nature. To big spiky mountains. To forests. To mist and snow and fields of wildflowers.

from my last visit to the Olympic Peninsula

Sometimes, I wonder if my career goals are not aligned to my soul goals. Does that make sense?
